Instructions to make Tsourekia:
- Mix the yeast with 1 glass warm water and 1.1/2 cups from the flour to paste set aside to rise
- Get ready everything else in a big bowl, add the risen yeast kneading until you have a soft dough, cover and let it rise double the size 2-2.1/2 hours.
- Then we make pleats long or round and let rise again,
- Brush with beaten egg yolk with few drops of water and vanilla scatter few almonds and sesame bake in preheated oven 180C, for 30 minutes, if they get dark cover with baking paper until a toothpick comes clean. Effie xx
