  2. Take 250 gms paneer

  18. Make ready Handful Coriander tsp
  19. Get 1/2 tsp garam masala
  20. Prepare 2 tbsp shahi paneer masala,optionl

Turn the side and fry till golden brown on both sides. Add spices and water and bring to a boil. The original kundan kaliya is mutton prepared in a gravy which must have turmeric or saffron and the mutton pieces were wrapped in gold leaf and served to the Nawabs. Being a vegetarian I decided to replace the mutton with paneer and I don't use silver or gold leaves or foils for cooking.

Steps to make Paneer kaliya:
  1. Stuffing for rolls- take 1 cup boiled pea and mashed coarsely. Add jeera powder, chilli powder,and ginger grated, garam masala Amchoor powder, salt.
  2. For Paneer rolls- Grind paneer in a mixture jar,keep in a plate add all-purpose flour, salt,make a dough. Add cornflour if required.
  3. Make Paneer rolls- take 1 part of paneer dough Roll out make chapati.
  4. Apply 1 Tbsp of already cooked gravy now apply pea stuffing, spread it evenly.
  5. Cut the paneer chapati into thin strips roll out it as shown the below pics.
  6. Roll out remaining paneer strips like the pics.now take a Tawa add little bit oil shallow fry rolls both sides.
  7. For gravy- Grind onions, tomatoes, garlic, ginger and cashew to a fine paste.
  8. Take a kadhai pour oil now add above grind paste till oil separated.
  9. Add shahi paneer masala and other dry spices. Cook for minutes add hot water if required.
  10. Add fresh cream mix well. Gravy is ready.serve with Paneer Rice & laccha parathas
