- Prepare 1 tbsp Fenugreek seeds
- Make ready 1 tsp Turmeric powder

- Take 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- Make ready 1/2 tsp Fenugreek seeds

- Prepare 5 Garlic chopped
- Get 1 tbsp Channa dal
- Get 2 tsp Peanuts
- Take 1 tsp Urad dal
- Get pinch Hing

- Soak tamarind in hot water for 20 minutes. squeeze the pulp and keep aside.

- Now add tamarind water and salt. Cover and cook in medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes until oil separates from the gravy. Stir occasionally.
- Now add jaggery and cook for another 2 minutes. Add ghee and adjust the salt.
- Switch off the flame and serve hot with rice, papad..
You can order dried manathakkali on. Usually we add the sun dried berries (Manathakkali Vathal), Sundakkai Vathal or vegetables like Yellow Pumpkin, Ladyfinger, Brinjal or just Pappad.
