- Take 1 kg mangoes raw,50 GM's salt,50 GM's asofoiteda,50 GM's salt,50 GM's turmeric 50 GM's bedekar masala,300 GM's mustard oil
- Take No water
Pickles are known as 'Oorugai', in the Tamizh language. And, a raw mango pickle in Tamizh is known as 'Maangai oorugai', where maangai stands for 'raw mango' in Tamizh, while the instant Raw mango pickle is also known as 'dhidir maangai oorugai'. The south-Indian Raw mango pickle is the most favourite commodity. Ingredients: The pickle is prepared with raw unripe chopped mangoes, mustard seeds, curry leaves and some spice powders.
Instructions to make Raw mango pickle:
- Chopp the mangoes to square pieces soak it in 50 GM's salt for 1 hr,then drain the water of salt
- To this add turmeric,bedekar masala,salt,asofoiteda and mix well
- Fill it in sterilized jar to this after one hr add mustard oil 200 GM's,again after three hrs add 100 GM's mustard oil
- Store it in freeze
